track ii dialogues
The CEP focuses on convening Track II dialogues where the free exchange of ideas can take place. Under the banner of The Thimphu Seminars, these Track II dialogues are being held at a bilateral level between Bhutan and India. To date, five rounds of the India-Bhutan Strategic Dialogue have taken place with the sixth round scheduled to be held in April 2016.
Public sessions where eminent persons are requested to deliver a lecture or participate in panel discussions are organised by the CEP throughout the year. Many of these public sessions have been convened as a part of The Thimphu Seminars initiative with at least two events taking place each year, once in India and once in Bhutan.
The three-day Paro Retreat will take place in the backdrop of Bhutan’s pristine environment, offering an ideal setting for distinguished persons to engage in stimulating discussions; the Retreat will be in the form of a regional, multilateral dialogue where individuals from different spheres will be invited to participate.
